John William Brown died peacefully on November 2nd, 2017 in Uxbridge, Ontario at the age of 72.
John (Johnnie) is survived by his wife Lynne (Davey), daughter Lisa (Shen), son Thomas and three grandchildren Nicholas, Rebecca and Madeline. He will be missed by his siblings Keith (Linda), Lorne (Sonia), Debbie (Jimmy, deceased), Patsy and Troy as well as his many nieces, nephews and extended family across the country. He is predeceased by his brother Dwight.
John was born on June 18th, 1945 in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia to Patrick Brown and Jessica Brown (Cullen). He married Lynne in 1967 not long after moving to Toronto from Nova Scotia. He spent many years working for Scarborough Public Utilities where he made many friends before retiring in 2000.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 6th at PINE HILLS CEMETERY AND FUNERAL CENTRE (625 Birchmount Rd, Scarborough) at 2:30PM with visitation from 1:30-2:30pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate John’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
