Passed away on Friday July 14, 2017 after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s. Beloved wife of Vickey for 59 years. Cherished father of Mary and her husband Stathis and Nicholas and his wife Elena. Proud Pappou of Alexander, Sophia, John and Chris. John was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be remembered for the great love and affection he showed his family, his sense of humour and for always speaking his mind. A punctual man by nature, John also loved his watch collection. He will be deeply missed. Friends will be received at ELGIN MILLS CEMETERY & VISITATION CENTRE, 1591 Elgin Mills Rd.E., Richmond Hill (east of Leslie St., 905-737-1720) on Sunday, July 16th from 6 - 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church of Markham, 11359 Warden Avenue on Monday, July 17th at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Elgin Mills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson's Canada would be appreciated.
