January 16, 1940 -  June 19, 2019

MACAULAY, John Sweeney passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday June 19, 2019 at Brampton Civic Hospital at the age of 79. Predeceased by his beloved wife Eileen Cromie Macaulay and loving father to Yvonne (Daryl) and Cheryl (Oscar). Proud papa to Mateo, Linnea, Sarah, Aidan, Kelsey and Daniel and great grandfather to Jayce. John will be dearly missed by his last surviving sister in Scotland, Helen Ball (Bill), many nieces and nephews here in Canada and Scotland and many friends. In memory of John and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Visitation, funeral service, burial and reception will take place on Wednesday June 26th at Meadowvale Cemetery & Funeral Centre beginning with Visitation at 10am, funeral service at 11am, burial at 12pm and reception immediately following burial.

John I'm so sorry I can't be there to say goodbye. Thank you for being the loving brother anyone could love, so glad I got to spend 4 wonderful weeks with you on a surprise visit to me last year. You'll always be in my heart RIP xxx Helen
