John Kong How Oh passed away peacefully on the morning of May 16, 2021.

He will be greatly missed by his brothers, Kong Ing Oh (Clara) and Eddy Budianto (Theresia). John was a beloved uncle to David (Beverly), Shelli, Elsa (Mark), and Robert (Kim) as well as great-uncle to Liana, Ainsley, Mason, Ava, Avery and Luke. John also leaves behind cherished extended family and friends from around the world.

John was born in Indonesia and spent most of his working life in Japan before retiring to be closer to family in Toronto. He will be lovingly remembered as a generous, proud, and intelligent man who loved his family and friends.

A private visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 1 pm EST at Meadowvale Funeral Centre. A funeral service will be held on the same day at 2 pm EST, officiated by Father Frank from John’s home parish of St Leo’s. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the service will be limited to family in attendance, however for those who wish to view the service remotely, a live stream will be available on the memorial page on May 19, 2021 starting at 1:50 pm EST.
