In memory of

John Kirtsis

March 26, 1967 -  March 25, 2025

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of John Kirtsis on March 25, 2025. John passed at home, surrounded by everyone who loved him dearly. He was one day short of celebrating his 58th birthday. Predeceased by his father, Stelianos and brother, Alex. John was a loving and cherished son of Eleni and much loved younger brother to Elizabeth (Dan). His nephew Michael (Sabrina) and niece Krysten were the joy of his life…he was always the proud uncle. They will miss Tuesday night, “wing night” with him.

John was loved by everyone that knew him. He lived his life with laughter and kindness, touching countless lives through his compassionate heart and always approaching things in a positive way. He was a devoted friend; one that you could always count on.

Unfortunately, this past year there were many health struggles in John’s life. He met these struggles with courage and bravery until his last breath.

You leave a hole in our heart dear brother!!! Never forgotten!! Always missed!!

Visitation: Monday, March 31st, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Service: Tuesday, April 1st, 11 a.m. – directly following - burial

My last conversation with John was him disclosing he was battling cancer & did so with a grin. It brought about mixed emotions, especially since we were both attending another friends memorial golf tournament. Another legend & loved friend by John. John even with his own challenges found the time to visit with his friends on that day! What a special person & friend! Thank you John.

The date was May 1, 1980 when my family moved to Scarborough, my next door neighbour Steve Sabanis aka Shabani introduced me to two brothers Johnny and Alex , we clicked from day one and inseparable from then to present, we shared some exciting and memorable moments together in our teenage years, Johnny and I even worked together, he always looked after me like a younger brother, he was a gentle giant, built like a bulldozer, but a heart of gold, I can recall lots of great moments but too many to count, when I heard that you were ill I went to a few churches in Cyprus to pray for you to get better, but God had other plans for you, he wanted you to be with Alex to celebrate your birthday with him, Johnny you will never be forgotten, may you rest in peace and no more pain, I will always love you 🙏❤️ Sinbad xoxo one day we’ll all meet again

Eleni, Elizabeth, Michael and Krysten,
I am so saddened by your loss of Johnny. He was such a great friend to everyone. It has been a long time since I have seen you all, but Johnny will live forever in my memories. You are correct by saying he was such a good friend. I spent a lot of time with John over the years. He was always at our kids birthday parties and always brought a box of burgers or hot dogs. I met John at Rafferty's about 26 years ago and we were like best friends. He talked so much about his niece and nephew and was such a proud uncle. Until we meet again Johnny. xo
