In memory of

John (Γιάννης) Katsios

June 4, 1931 -  April 14, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of John (Γιάννης) Katsios, at the age of 93, on Monday, April 14th, 2025.
John was the beloved husband of Helen, and devoted father to Jim (Jerri), Peter (Sherri), and Paressa (George). He was a cherished grandfather to Elena (Josh), James, Marie (Billy), Andria (Daniel), John, Jonathan (Rachel), and Lenna, and a proud great-grandfather to Nicholas.
A gentle soul of few words, John’s warm smile and kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His home was always open, his spirit welcoming, and he never spoke ill of anyone—a quiet kindness that defined his character.
Like so many, he immigrated to Canada in search of a better life, and through hard work, he built a strong foundation for his family. He was a role model to his children, leading by quiet example and showing them the values of integrity, respect, and love. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather—a quiet strength and guiding light in the lives of those he loved.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church (Grand Luxe Event Boutique to be used by church for Easter Weekend) 3125 Bayview Ave. North York, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m. A Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment at York Cemetery.
