In memory of

John Kar Kuen Chiu

October 10, 1937 -  October 19, 2023

It is with great sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of John Kar Kuen Chiu on October 19, 2023 at the age of 86. Dad was predeceased by his wife and our loving mother Mei Wan, who he now reunites with in heaven.

John is survived by his daughters Shelly (Ming) and Marge (Raymond), his son Ken (Helena), his grandchildren Allison, Connor, Warren, Hayden and Clarence, and his older brother Ronnie (Binky).

Schooled in electronics, he was passionate in his professional work as an electronics troubleshooter in the auto sector. His love for electronics and technology extended into fixing televisions on the side and the abundance of computers, Hi-Fi stereo components and gadgets throughout the home.

My most sincere condolences to the children, grandchildren, relatives, extended family and friends of the late John Kar Kuen Chiu.

I met Mr. Chiu while having the pleasure of serving as "best man" when his son Ken (my dear friend from high school) got married. Needless to say, I benefitted more than once when Mr. Chiu quietly shared a gentle word or two of advice as I worked through my duties. I shall treasure this memory of him, as well as the warmth in his smile!
