In memory of

John "Jack" Paul Savage

November 22, 1946 -  August 15, 2024

A Man of Words

John Paul Savage was an extraordinary man. His friends called him Jack; his daughters, Dad; his grandsons, Papa; his students, Mr. Savage. After a brief illness, he died at the age of 77, on August 15, 2024. He will be forever missed by his adoring daughters Christine Savage-Mindel, Jacqueline Savage, & Nicole Savage; his beloved grandsons, Kahlo, Ensō and Rio; and his fortunate sons-in-law, Greg Mindel & Dennis Martinez. He was a cherished uncle, cousin and friend to many, including his lifelong friends, Lourdes Cobos and Alan Banks.
John has been reunited with his late mother, Ann, father, Hugh, and older brothers Hugh, Alan, and David Savage. Although John spent many years in the US, Toronto was always his home.

John was a lifelong educator who touched the lives of thousands through his passionate work.
He had a booming radio voice, charm for days, stories in abundance, and a deep love for life and family. He could never say goodbye, so we’ll just say that we’ll meet again. Our special angel.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, August 24th, 2024, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery - 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto, ON. in Section 48. Followed by a wake at the Royal Canadian Legion at 1083 Pape Avenue.
