We were devastated by the death on September 20, 2023 of our beloved John Milne. He was kind and gentle. He had the most magnetic personality….so passionate, friendly and full of life.

He is survived by his wife Katy, their children Jackson and Evie, his mother Ingrid Peters, his stepdad Ross Walker, his brothers William Milne (Mila) and Johnny Walker (Hannah), his sister Christie Walker (Ben) and many cousins, uncles and aunts and other family members who loved him. He was predeceased by his father Bill Milne.

John graduated from Danforth Tech and earned his honours BA in English at U of T. He pursued a career in digital marketing. But his passion was his music. John wrote, sang and performed many wonderful songs, some on his own, some with his first band, Johnny Alexander and some by People Say Oh. You can enjoy many of them on Spotify.

His greatest love was reserved for his wife Katy and their children, Jackson and Evie. They were the main focus of his life. During his struggle with mental health, he was supported by friends and family. During his most difficult moments, he was comforted and cared for by his mother, Ingrid Peters. She was his confidant, his advocate and his protector.

The fond memories we have of John will glow in our hearts forever.

Our funeral service for John will be held at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery Funeral Centre (375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto) at 10:30 am on Sunday, October 1, 2023. A reception will follow.
