Passed away November 13, 2017 at the age of 75. Beloved Husband of Arlene for 27 years. Survived by daughter Lesley Young, Calgary, Brother Howard (Candy)Young and Sister Charlotte (Joe) Meesters of Collingwood.
John was born in Kenora, Ontario and joined Scotiabank in Kenora in 1962 as a teller.
He was transferred throughout the years to Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and finishing his career in Toronto as Executive Vice President, Domestic Banking in 2005 after 42 years.
John enjoyed travelling throughout the world with Arlene after retirement, and of course golfing. He was a member of Donalda Golf & Country Club and Calgary Golf & Country Club
As per John’s request, there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to University Health Network.
A special thank you to Dr. James Downar and his team at Toronto General Hospital.
Family, friends and colleagues are invited for a reception at Donalda Golf & Country Club on Saturday November 18, 2017 from 2:00 to 5:00pm, 12 Bushbury Drive, Toronto.

A wonderful picture of John. That great smile and always quick with a laugh..usually at the irony of something crazy that had just happened.Unbeknownst to many, John left an indelible mark and a most positive one on The Bank Of Nova Scotia...and on so many employees and associates.
My condolences to you, Arlene. You two shared an amazing journey together. I know you will keep that smile and that laugh in your heart forever.
