Johannes (John) Arm

November 18, 1918 - June 19, 2016

Passed away peacefully on Sunday June 19, 2016, at the age of 97 with his family by his side. Cherished husband of the late Ella (Inkapool). John will be deeply missed by his sons Peter (Tania) and Eric (Patricia) as well as his beloved granddaughter Jessica. Deepest gratitude to the staff at Sunnybrook Hospital C4 Stroke Unit and East York Meals on Wheels. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sunnybrook Foundation or East York Meals on Wheels. A celebration of John’s life will be held at York Funeral Center, 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto on Monday June 27, 2016 at 2 pm.

I had the blessing of meeting John at Patricia's family events. I will remember him as a man with a gentle spirit who was quick to engage in conversation with a smile on his face.

So sorry to hear of your father's passing. I recall how much he loved his cottage and enjoyed going up there with you. He had a great sense of humour, and a handshake that would have been strong for someone half of his age. Take care of yourselves during this trying time....
