In memory of

Joe Medeiros

June 16, 1948 -  March 13, 2024

Peacefully passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday March 13, 2024 in General and Marine Hospital in Collingwood at age 75. Survived by his loving wife Cathy of 23 years. Beloved father to Kasandra (Kasi) and her husband Patrick (Pat). Dear brother to Tony (predeceased) and his wife Connie; Gabe and his wife Bambina; Louise and her husband Manny; Charlie and his wife Alda. Cherished uncle to Paul, Kim, Tony , Mike, Michelle, David, Bonnie, Jennifer, Melissa, Victoria and Steve.
Joe will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by many other family and friends in Canada and USA.
Joe was passionate about cars and motorcycles. Riding his bike gave him the freedom he loved.
Nothing was better than an afternoon ride on a winding road. Joe also enjoyed his time on the snowmobile as well as fishing and bringing home a treasure from his adventures. He loved a good bargain and was affectionately known as PJ.
Joe had a heart of gold. He would stop anything he was working on in order to help a friend or family member.
If you needed anything done on a large scale, he just had to put the word out and his kindness would be reciprocated. He was the epitamy of kindness. If you were fortunate enough to have him as a friend, you knew you had a friend for life.
Joe cherished his time with family and friends enjoying a shot of “Blackberry Brandy”.

Enjoyed many adventures with Joe. In 1985 we flew to San Francisco together, rented a car and drove down the Pacific Coast Hwy towards Los Angeles. On the way we toured Alcatraz, Ventura where we stopped and visited Bob’s uncle whom Joe had met once previously. He and his wife welcomed us into their home and we stayed for several days. The lasting impression Joe made upon Bobs uncle was evident in the warm welcome we had. After Los Angeles and Universal Studios we continued to Las Vegas. We flew home from Vegas. This three week vacation was very memorable for both Joe and I.
Joe also loved snowmobiling and was often at my cottage in Parry Sound where we had many memorable snowmobiling adventures with other friends.
Joe was truly a generous person, always willing to help others with their mechanical issues. Which he had a special and unique knack for. So much so I called him Doc, as in a doctor of automotive issues!
Joe will truly be missed by all that knew him.
