In memory of

Jocelyne Lapointe

May 14, 1940 -  March 22, 2019

Jocelyne Marie Denise Monique Théoret Lapointe passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, at the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care at Bridgepoint Health Centre on March 22, 2019, at age 78.

Jocelyne will be greatly missed by her husband, Louis, sons, Wade and Bruce, and her brother, Jean-Pierre. Cherished grandmother to Iyla and Mia and wonderful mother-in-law to Jonathan and Leela; Jocelyne’s free spirit, love of life, devotion to her loved ones and infectious laughter will be missed by many.

Jocelyne was a truly special soul who brought happiness to all those around her.

In memory of Jocelyne and in lieu of flowers, donations to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation (https://thepmcf.ca/Special-Pages/Donate-Now) would be appreciated by the family.

I was saddened to hear of Mrs. Lapointe’s passing. She was a very special woman who shared with me her warm presence, sincere smile and kind heart.

Mrs. Lapointe started out as one of my client’s and we insistently became fast friends! She was such a cool lady and we could relate to each other on so many levels. She was funny, and we enjoyed many laughs together. We shared stories about being mother’s and raising children. She was so very proud of her boys! My heart is broken that the world has lost such a really nice, genuine, kind person.

With utmost respect and from deep in my heart, I extend my condolences and sympathies to her family.

I met Mrs Lapointe in 2007 when I visited Jon and Wade. She was lovely - she had readied my room and the thing I remember - she gave me a pair of warm, fluffy bedroom slippers so I would be comfortable. She was thoughtful and kind and so funny. We had great conversations over many breakfasts. She had the best laugh. Remembering you today and always Mrs Lapointe.

Much love to Mr Lapointe, Wade and Jon, Bruce and Leela, Iyla and Mia.

I was so sad to hear of the passing of Mrs L. She was always so kind and welcoming to me and Shauna when we visited. Always warm, kind, and eager to listen to us and we always enjoyed our conversations with her-usually over a plateful of Jon’s amazing cooking. I will always think of her when I eat lemon curd (we always sought out the best bottle we could find as a gift to her). We are sending our love and fondest wishes to you all-Mr L, Wade & Jon, Bruce & Leela and the girls. Xxxx
