Joanne Katherine Parsons

October 23, 1961 -  June 6, 2023

Surrounded by the love of her family, Joanne Katherine Parsons, 61, of Mississauga, Ontario, peacefully passed away on June 6, 2023, at Mississauga Trillium hospital after suddenly being diagnosed with cancer.

Joanne's memory will be cherished by her boyfriend Johnny. She will forever be missed by her only child, Terri (Darren). She was a proud and devoted Nanny to Ashton, Chloe, and Liam. She was born on October 23, 1961, in Robert's Arm, Newfoundland, to predeceased father, Chesley, and mother, Annie Campbell. She grew up in a large family predeceased by her four brothers, Edward, Darrell, Sonny, and Rocky, and survived by her two sisters, Eileen and Karen.

Joanne was born and raised in Newfoundland. She moved to Ontario to make a better life. After relocating to Ontario, she worked in a salon and obtained her hairdressing license. She supported her community by being a member of the Port Credit Legion. She was a social butterfly and lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; playing darts, cards, snacking, watching a Toronto Maple Leafs game, and having a good laugh with friends and family. She was loving, selfless, and had a heart of gold. She had an uncanny ability to make deep connections with people and touch their heart. Having known her was truly a gift.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Joanne touched, are invited to the memorial service at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centres,1535 South Gateway Road, Mississauga held at 2pm on June 24, 2023, with Captain Jeff Arkell of The Salvation Army Church, officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2pm on the same day.
