Joanne Elizabeth Gwynne

She had a peaceful end to a wonderful life. At her home (hand in hand) with her daughter. She was surrounded by love and so very brave.

Joanne Elizabeth Gwynne was born March 11, 1944 and passed September 22, 2022

Daughter of Phyllis & Gord. Big sister to the twins Marilyn & Michael and Ronald Gwynne. She was born and raised in Toronto. She grew up in West Hill and remained an East end girl.

She married in 1964, to James Rosenthal and had 2 children Suzanne and Jimmy Rosenthal. She was a proud grandmother to Reese, Poppy and Plum Rosenthal. Aunt to Erin, Grant and Mitchell Gwynne and Sister-in-law to Sayaka.

Many that had the opportunity to know her and spend time with her also call her "Mom".

She was a beloved friend. Smart. Beautiful and strong. Great sense of humour, scrabble expert, loved to host holiday gatherings, traveling, BTS and the 3 C's: chocolate, cheese & champagne.

She cared more than she should and gave everything she had to the people she loved. Even when she didn't receive the same in return, she never gave up hope.

She will be profoundly missed, and always loved.

A private Family Service will be taking place. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 16th.
