In memory of

Joan Maddock

October 8, 1932 -  October 24, 2019

MADDOCK, Joan Anne

Passed away peacefully in her sleep, in her 88th year, with her loving family by her side, on October 24, 2019 at Fairview Lodge. Predeceased by her loving husband Leslie. Adored mother of Sharon (Herb), Rose (Jim) and Robert. Cherished nana of Melissa (David), Lesley (Will), Rebecca and John Robert. Beloved great nana of Makenna, Max, Myra and Jacob. Joan will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Joan will be forever remembered as a voracious knitter and also loved cards, bingo and summers at the trailer. The family wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Hope Street Terrace in Port Hope and Fairview Lodge for care and professionalism shown to Joan and her family. A Celebration of Joan’s life will be held at THORNTON CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, (1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787) on Friday, November 8, 2019 from 11 am – 2 pm. Donations will be gratefully accepted for Alzheimer Society or Dementia Canada.
