In memory of

Jian Jack Foronda-Bae

May 9, 2004 -  April 18, 2024

Jian Foronda-Bae, 19, passed away in Toronto on April 18, 2024.

Born on Mother’s Day, May 9, 2004, to Jack Bae and Karen Foronda, Jian lived a rambunctious life with his brother, Jaren and his cousin, Kaiden. In his early years, Jian was often in the company of his grandparents.

Family vacations at the beach led to a love of swimming and ice cream. Winters were spent skiing, and playing indoor basketball. And throughout his life, Jian has always been an avid gamer. Covid-19 was difficult for Jian but he kept himself busy by cooking many wonderful meals and training to become even better at his favourite sport, rockclimbing, where he truly excelled.

Jian was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. His infectious laugh easily got him out of trouble with his parents. He was generous to a fault, loyal, and brave.

He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his family and friends. He truly loved each of them- and if you knew him, you knew it. He will be forever missed. Until we meet again.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, remembrances be made in the form of contributions to jack.org.

Karen and Jack, I saw Jian only in a few occasions one being in the gaming cafes downtown. I feel however that I knew him through you Karen. More recently when you shared his passion and inspiration for cooking food. He will be greatly missed in this world and particularly in your house but I am sure his memory and love will remain present more than ever in your lives and hearts. Impactful choice of donation as you gireve this heartfelt loss. Hugs from our family to yours. May he rest in peace. Sending our prayers to you!
