(Jennie) Madeline Bennett (nee Sutherland). Born July 17, 1919 passed away so very gently on July 21, 2017 at age 98, at Hillsdale Estates (Trillium Trail) in Oshawa. Madeline was predeceased by her beloved husband William Clifton Bennett (Cliff, 2002). Precious mom to son Gary (Glenda). Cherished Gramma to Zachary (Leeann) and Brynn (Elizabeth) and her many great grandchildren. Madeline was born in Economy, Nova Scotia to a large Sutherland family, Madeline lived and worked in Ontario for most of her adult life until they relocated to Hilden, NS in 1981, she was a lifelong member of the United Church and proudly active with the UCW. Cremation has taken place and we will be taking Madeline home to NS to join her beloved Cliff. In honour of Madeline’s life donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. A very special thanks to the amazing staff of Trillium Trail at Hillsdale Estates who made sure Madeline's last 5 years were happy and safe.
A Memorial Service will be held at Colchester Community Funeral Home in Truro, Nova Scotia on Wednesday August 2 at 2 p.m. followed by a reception and proceeding to Interment in Bible Hill Cemetary. http://colchesterfuneral.frontrunnerpro.com/book-of-memories/2993040/Bennett-J-Madeline/obituary.php
