Memories from Luke
I remember the long elevator rides up to Nana's apartment and how often we would run into someone who knew Nana. It seemed the whole building knew her.
She would always exchange a few words with them although few words was all she needed to brighten someones day, a quick joke or comment that would leave everyone smiling as we walked out of the elevator into the hallway.
The smell of smoke and carpet which would under normal circumstances be less than exciting, to me it meant I was about to spend thanksgiving at Nana's.
A big turkey, family, a fuzzy tv and as many werthers originals I could sneak while Nana was out on the balcony or in the kitchen. Looking back i'm certain she knew.
That was how she operated, always caring for those around her, she led by example as if she was showing the world how to be just a little nicer and a little more caring each day.

Tribute to Mom / Nana by Donna-Marie
My name is Donna-Marie Holub. I am the daughter of Jeannette Mary LeBreton. My Mom has 3 children myself Dave and Pete. She has 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
It is my honour to tell you about the exceptional woman I was lucky enough to call Mom.
I would like to say that my Mom passed peacefully with Dave and his wife Sabrina by her side, she was not alone.
All her grandchildren loved going to Nana's house, they all had so much fun there.
My Mom enjoyed going to bingo and playing scratch cards.
Her passion was knitting and crocheting. She made so many beautiful home made items.
She made them with love.
She always made you feel welcome in her home. Everyone she knew loved and admired her.
My Mom had a favourite saying "I will give you something to think about".
We will all miss her so much.
Mom / Nana you will always be in our hearts and never forgotten.
May you rest in peace Mom, Love you so much.

I had the pleasure of working with Jeannette for the past couple years at Jean Dudley House. She was very pleasant and appreciative of all the care and support she received. She made friends easily with the other residents and made new residents feel welcome. She had a smile that could light up a room. We will keep Jeannette in our memories as she is missed by all who knew her.
