Jean Claire Dockery

November 21, 1943 -  October 5, 2016

Ms. Jean Claire Dockery died peacefully in Scarborough Hospital - General Campus on October 5, 2016 in Toronto, Ontario at the age of 72.

Jean is survived by her children, Belinda, Georgia and Wayne, as well as grand children and great grand children, of the Greater Toronto area. She is preceded in death by her siblings and cousins, of various locations.

Jean was born on November 21,1943 in Westmorland, Jamaica to Eda Jones and Eardly Dockery. After moving to Canada in 1972, Jean worked for Canada Post and Metro Toronto. She was also a member of the Jamaican Canadian Association and volunteered a lot of her time there.

A memorial is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Elgin Mills Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Centres, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jean’s life. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
