Jean-Guy Therrien of Oshawa at the age of 82 passed away on April 13th surrounded by his family with great support from Hillsdale Terrace. Guy was a veteran of the Navy and a retiree of OPG. He was hoping to see the Canadiens win another cup. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Beatrice(Betty), and children Tammy(Dave), Daniel(Mary), Sharon(Janet) and Michelle(predeceased)(Randy). Grandchildren Michael, Todd, Cory, Melissa, Natalie, Hayley and Devon and Great Grandchildren Mason,Kingston and Maxime. Siblings Gisele, Roger(predeceased), Raymond(predeceased), Gerald, Carmen(predeceased), Alan, and Mirielle. Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Thornton Cemetery and Funeral Centre (1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, 905-579-6787). Memorial service to follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences.
