I worked with Janice for over 10 years. She was a bubbly person who was always kind and humourous. She will be missed dearly

Janice was the nicest person you could meet. She wasn't perfect. She had her shortcomings like we all have. Her heart was so pure and her mind was clear. She loved to eat ever since she was little. She was so cute from the day she came into this world until the day she died. Except for my mom I was the first family member to see her when she was born. I also found her when she died. Both memories I will keep with me until I die. I want to share some stories about Janice if Permavita extends the duration of the website. They have been more than generous so far.

When Janice came into the world she was not wanted. My father said she was an accident. But it was the most fortunate accident for him. She took care of him in his old age. When she was a baby and just started talking she would say the cutest things. My mom would tell my father: Did you know what she said today? This cuteness continued for the rest of her life.

Janice started walking when she was two years old. She told me she was too chubby to walk before that. She used to crawl and follow me and Margaret around. I remember once when we were kids Margaret and I climbed on to a I guess queen size bed. Janice was right behind us but she was too heavy to climb on. She hung on to the edge and started laughing. She was so cute. Another time me and Margaret climbed on to a big iron pram/stroller. Janice was inside and my mom was pushing. Those days the prams were built like tanks. Janice started laughing when she saw us.

When Janice started walking she told me she was very independent. She use to shop for my mom. When my mom was cooking something and she needed a vegetable or something she sent Janice to the corner grocery store to get it. Janice would pick up her purse and go get it. In those days in Trinidad you only saw a car every ten or fifteen minutes where we lived. Janice told me she almost got hit by a car. If she did she most certainly have died. A neighbour witnessed it and informed my mom. Janice's friend Susie had a sister that was struck and killed by a car in Canada in the same decade.
I found when I came to Canada in 1973 traffic was more dangerous because more cars were on the road. Now Trinidad has the same problem and crazier drivers.

Janice and my mom were so close. Janice was afraid of the dark as a child so she slept in the same bed as my mom. When my mom did laundry which was usually by hand and she hung it on the line Janice would assist her. She looked so cute handing wet/damp clothes to her mom. Trinidad is very hot so the clothes dried fast. Even to the end laundry was a chore Janice enjoyed doing.
