My condolences to Tom, Maryanne, and Carol. I met Jan while working at PJPII in 1996 and we kept in touch by getting together once a year for lunch at Swiss Chalet. She was the most dedicated teacher I've ever known as she truly cared about her students. She was a good friend and will be missed.

Jan was a great math teacher who was well-loved by many of her high-school students. Even past her retirement, she accepted students in need of math tutors as she was an expert in her craft. She was also a good friend and a true introvert who had been a good confidante. She'll surely be missed by many. - Grace G.
