With grace, warmth, and a life defined by devotion to her family and God, Jane Irmin Ramsammy entered eternal rest on November 21st, 2025. Born on April 8, 1939, in Rose Hall Village, Corentyne, Berbice, Guyana, Jane was the treasured daughter of James and Priscilla Beharry. One of ten children, she was preceded in death by Ena, Ivan, Joyce, Michael, Irvin, Carl, Paul, and Ronald and is lovingly survived by her last remaining sister, Janice.

Jane met her beloved husband, Arnold Ramsammy, in Guyana, and the two were married on August 28, 1963. Their partnership was one of quiet affection and deep devotion. Jane took pride in keeping Arnold looking his very best—he was often known as “the man with the nicest pressed pants and smoothest shirt jac” a loving testament to the care she took for those she loved

Jane and Arnold raised two beautiful children: Carol (husband Richard) and Daniel (wife Babra). She took immense pride in her children, and instilled in them her kindness, steadiness, and everlasting love.

She is also survived by her adored grandchildren—Gerami (wife Jessika), Deric, Alexandre, Melissa, and Vanessa—each of whom brought her tremendous joy and to whom she gave her endless love and cooking.

Jane will be remembered for her gentle heart, her dignity, her devotion, and the warmth she extended to all who knew her. Her legacy of love, care, and quiet strength will live on in the generations she leaves behind.
