Jan-Erik “Puti” MYRSKOG
Passed away suddenly on Monday, August 20, 2018 at the age of 50. Proud father of Katelyn and William. Cherished son of Hans and Terttu (nee Franssi). Lovingly remembered by his siblings Frank (Marylene), Christina, and Hans “Eetu.” Fun-loving uncle to Harper, Addisen and Aren. Also remembered by Cheryl, Inna, many aunts, uncles and cousins in Canada and Finland. John was a caring and gentle man who loved children and animals alike; he was a baby-whisperer as much as cat-whisperer! Quiet and reserved in nature, often John could be found fishing out on the lake, or tinkering with his lures and rods for hours at a time. He was a profound lover of music, from ACDC to Andrew Lloyd Weber, rock, soul, classical and everything in between. Always thoughtful, John took solace in spirituality, inspired by different faiths that gave him inner peace. His appreciation for various cultures was as much about people as it was about foods of all kind. The world has lost a kind and loving soul. We are all saddened by his death, but know somewhere John has found his fishing-hole, pole in hand, and sits patiently waiting.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 6-9pm at the ELGIN MILLS FUNERAL CENTRE, 1591 Elgin Mills Road East (east of Leslie St.) in Richmond Hill, ON. Private funeral and burial arrangements.
