In memory of

Jamie Jennings

August 31, 1982 -  December 24, 2016

James Edward Gibson Jennings, August 31, 1982 - December 24, 2016

It is with heavy hearts and tremendous sadness that we share the sudden passing of Jamie Jennings, beloved husband of Alexie, loving and proud father of Adeline, cherished son of Diana Parker (Steve) and Peter Jennings (Louise) and son-in-law of Peter and Mary Ann Landry, dear brother and friend of Charles McGee Jennings (Megan), special "Uncle Haybz" to Ryleigh and Taylor, proud brother-in-law of Ghislaine Landry, treasured grandson of Cay Jennings, and much loved godson to Peter Beresford and Judy McMunn. Jamie also leaves behind a host of friends and relatives too vast to count.

After graduating from King's College, Jamie worked for several years in the music industry before beginning his career in politics. Jamie was proud to serve as Special Assistant to Member of Provincial Parliament, Arthur Potts. Jamie was an avid lover of music, sports, cooking, farmers markets, and weekends at the cottage. His primary passion was in caring for his family. Jamie's true pride and joy was his 16 month old baby girl, Adeline. He was an exceptional father, bringing much joy, love and laughter to her life. Jamie will be forever missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have known him.

A memorial service will be held on January 3, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre in Toronto (visitation at 2:00 pm). Details can be found at mountpleasantgroup.permavita.com/site/JamesJennings.html

In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been established for Jamie's daughter Adeline. If you wish to donate, cheques payable to "Adeline Jennings" can be mailed to Chris Le Roy, Scotia Wealth Management, 95 St. Clair Avenue, Suite 1400, Toronto, Ontario, M4V 1N6.

I really feel for you and your family. Although the shock and pain of this loss is immense today, as my young sons reminded me shortly after their mother passed away when my youngest was Adeline's age, I'm certain Jamie will always be looking down and in some unexplained ways, provide very special strength and love to Adelain as she grows and sees her life blossom. He will always be close - and I know that through the continuing love of her family, Adeline and her mother will be cherished through this time and for decades to come. But if there is ever a wish to talk with someone who is truly a kindred spirit, please don't hesitate to call. With love, Steve.

Alexie, I am beyond sorry for your and your family's loss. You've been in my thoughts. I hope everyday when you see Adeline laugh, she'll remind you of Jamie.
