In memory of

James Gerrard Watt

WATT, James (Jim) Gerrard April 30, 1926 - March 25, 2018 With great sadness I announce the passing of my dearly loved father and best pal, James, on Sunday, March 25, 2018 in hospital, after a brief illness. Son of the late Annie and James Watt of Aberdeen, Scotland, predeceased by sisters Margaret Ritchie (Bill) and Jane Watson (Dougie), he is survived by his only daughter Margaret. A member of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers for the British Army, stationed in Haifa, Dad came to Canada in 1953 with his new bride, the late Caroline, and settled in Toronto where he worked at the TTC for 32 years. In his younger days he was an avid motorcyclist and loved tinkering with his bikes and cars and anything else mechanical and almost single-handedly built a garage one summer at our home on Cosburn Ave. Many years later he took up painting. He and Mum (Carol) enjoyed travelling to the south of England, which was a favourite subject of his many artistic works. Always smiling, he was a sweet and gentle, happy soul, and a devoted, loving father who will be profoundly missed by all whose lives he touched. A private cremation has taken place. Friends and family are welcome for a casual Celebration of Life to be held Sunday April 29, 2018, 2 - 4 p.m., at 2701 St. Clair Ave., E., Toronto (St. Clair O'Connor Community) Meeting Room. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Love you forever my dear, sweet, Daddio xx
