Melisis, James Dimitrios
May 23, 1942 ~ February 25, 2023

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved husband, father and grandfather. After a valiant and courageous battle, our beloved hero is finally at rest.
Predeceased by his parents Lazaros and Avdoxia, and brother Miltiadis (Andromahi). James Dimitrios leaves behind his devoted wife of 59 years, Aspasia. Proud and cherished father to Sofi, Tom (Olga) and Chris (Padma).
He will be missed beyond measure by his grandchildren Brandon, Jordan, Elyssia, Julia and Ariana.
He will also be missed by his sisters Vassiliki (predeceased Petros), Cata (predeceased Kosta), Elpiniki (predeceased Stogianis) and brother Nick (Angela). Brother-in-law to Chris (Freda), Vasa (Angelo) and Lena (predeceased Andoni).
Uncle Jim was adored and will be missed immensely by his many loving nieces and nephews. Forever in the hearts of extended family and friends. Mornings will not be the same at the coffee shop.
Great people leave an indelible mark of their existence with everyone that they meet. Dad, our world is forever changed now that you are gone. Until we meet again.

I'll always remember you Uncle Jim. You left such a heartwarming legacy with your family.♥️ There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love. I'll miss you my Uncle! Sending love & prayers to you. Rest in Peace.🙏🏻

I have wonderful memories of Sofi’s stories about Papou. He was larger than life in these stories. I know he will live forever in Sofi, Brandon and Jordan’s lives. Sending my love to the entire family at this time

My dear friend Sofi introduced me many years ago to her father. Immediately I was touched by his kindness and joy at meeting his daughters friend.
Dear Sofi and family may your many beautiful memories soften the pain of the loss of a wonderful man.
