In memory of

James Allen

March 30, 1931 -  January 15, 2017

Gone are the days
we used to share
But in our hearts
You are always there
Never more than a thought away
Loved and remembered everyday

By your wife, Edna of 60 years, daughters Debbie (Brian) and Brenda, son Brad (Laurie), grandchildren, Ryan, Katelyn (Pat), Mathew, Samantha, Erika and Taylor, great-grandchild Maggie. Loved by many family members and friends.

Jim’s life was very full and active. He was an offset technician for 37 years giving him the opportunity to travel from Nova Scotia to British Columbia, Frobisher Bay, Baffin Islands, and Kenya as a teacher. He was a driver for Pine Tree Senior Centre for over 20 years and this is where he became an artist. His many community activities included being a scout leader and participating in special events and parades with Royal Canadian Legion Br 258. Jim was a very proud member of the D-Cat Chorus and the Scarborough Village Singers.
He was a man who believed in giving back to the community.

When someone you love
becomes a memory
A memory becomes a treasure

We will honour Jim in a ‘Celebration of his Life’ on February 2, 2017 at PINE HILLS FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough at 3 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior.

My euchre games will never be the same without my partner. You always had the card that stopped them all. Will miss you a ton.

Aunt Edna, Debbie, Brenda and Brad... I'm sad to hear this news of Uncle Jim's passing. I have loads of memories of him when I was a young lad. Especially his whisker attacks whenever he got a hold of me. I recall many visits to 101 Overture and seeing a Carlsberg in his hand and watching some football. Please accept my condolences and keep smiling!

Dad we were blessed to have had your wisdom, your ethics, your guidance, your patience and your sense of humour and hope that all of your traits have been passed down to our generation and the future ones. We will miss you greatly but our bounty of memories will keep us going. Love you dad.
