In memory of

Jake Riley "Jacque" Thompson

April 22, 1998 -  March 5, 2017

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we share with you the passing of Jake (Jacque) on Sunday, March 5, 2017. Adored and loving son to Lisa and Chuck, brother and best friend to Cole. Treasured grandson of Marian, Allan, Noreen and the late Frederick Thompson and the late Carol Rose. Beloved nephew of Jennifer and Darryl, Jonathan and Sue, Cristine, Terese, Ted and Barb, Jill and John. Jake was a fun-loving cousin to Nicole, Marissa, Sophia, Donal, (Peggy), Clara, (Damon), David, Michael, (Trisha), Courtney, Kevin, (Harmonie), Sara, Hunter, River, Jack, Sophia, Emma, Adriana and Olivia. Jake had special bonds with Rhoda Villar and his dog Sami. He will be sorely missed by his many, many, dear friends.
Jake had a deep appreciation of music. He had a magnanimous personality, was quick on his feet and a natural athlete. He was bright, compassionate, insightful and had a voracious appetite for new experiences and adventures at home and abroad. Jake’s engaging spirit will live on in all of the lives he touched.
A Celebration of Jake’s life will take place on Saturday, March 11, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at The Four Seasons Hotel (Aria Room), 60 Yorkville Avenue, Toronto.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jake's memory may be made to The Jake Thompson Memorial Fund (https://donor.torontofoundation.ca/jakethompson) at the Toronto Foundation (416) 921-2035.

Hi Chuck

Both Trish and I were extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Jake. We have not seen you or Jake since the year that he played NT house league soccer with Jeremy. (when we loaned him Jeremy's soccer boots!); but we are certain that Jake had grown into a terrific young man, son, and brother.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, your wife, Cole, and your family.

Kind Regards

Jonathan

Words do not capture the sadness and sorrow Tiff, the kids and I are feeling. I am lucky to have spent some time with Jake in Switzerland last year as well as to have watched him grow up at Mabin. Time with Jake was easy, light and enjoyable. He had so much charm and charisma. He truly was a pleasure to be around. You could tell by a simple chat that this young man had an incredible mind and a warm generous and adventurous spirit. Our deepest condolences.

With lots of love and a heavy heart,

Daniel, Tiffaney, Emmy, Charlie and Lily
