In memory of

Jacqueline Clark

September 23, 1939 -  December 23, 2023

It is with deepest regret that we announce the passing of Jacqueline Elizabeth Clark (nee Holdsworth) on December 23, 2023.
Jacqueline passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a short, but brave battle with cancer.

Loving wife of Ted Clark Jr. of over 48 years. Devoted mother of Teddy, and daughter-in-law Eleanor. She leaves behind her dearest friend Gisele of over 30 years, and cherished friends Meera and Suren. Adoring and doting “Grandma” to Chewy, Steven, Olivia, Nicole, Sainei, and Ashvi. Beloved Aunt and Great Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She will also be fondly remembered by her large extended family and the many close friends she gathered over the years.

Jackie was born in Toronto and lived most of her life in and around the Toronto area, with brief periods in Taveres, Florida and Kingsville, Texas. She was a proud employee of Bell Telephone for over 20 years, and later worked for Carlton Cards; in both jobs she formed friendships that lasted a lifetime. She enjoyed many years as a member of the Order of the Eastern Star where she held several positions and organized social functions and fund-raising events. Her kindness, generosity, and compassion will be remembered by all whose lives she touched. Jackie loved to travel, having many adventures across Canada, and around the world; and as many know, she had an affinity for the colour purple.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all those involved with the Palliative Care team and Oncology team from Brampton Civic Hospital for the kindness, empathy, and compassion they gave to Jackie and her entire family during this ordeal.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

It is with great sadness I learned of your mother's passing. My mother Elizabeth and I had great memories of times we shared together over many visits to Daytona Beach and the Nautilus Inn. She was a wonderful lady, she will be greatly missed by all of us and especially her cherished family whom she loved. Cherish those memories. Cathy L.

I have known Jackie for over 60 years. We met while both of us worked for Bell Canada at 815 Danforth av. Although we did not live close, we maintained our friendship through e mail. I was privileged to be a bridesmaid at Jackie’s wedding. I know she always embraced life and was always upbeat in whatever she did. I think maybe this was also the case with her ‘beanie babies’! She has touched many lives, and will be missed. Prayers to Ted and family. Aloha Jackie, jean.
