Rob Stimpson (met Jack through my aunt - Helen Stimpson)

Entered May 1, 2018 from Lake of Bays, Muskoka, Ontario

My condolences to the Carr family on the passing of Jack. Jack and Betsy were good friends of my aunt, Helen Stimpson, who introduced me to them. I was honoured to be invited to share lunch with them at the Arts and Letters Club many years ago. And as a person who admires the Group of Seven, it was incredible for myself to be invited to such a famous icon of Canadian art history. FYI - Helen passed away 4 years ago at the age of 98. Again condolences to the family.

I just returned from a stay in Florida and only got the news now. I would have dearly loved to pay may last respects to Jack at the Arts and Letter Club. A true Gentleman and highly respected college, who also could be justifiably proud of his life's achievements..
