In memory of

Ivy Siu Hing Lo

July 11, 1954 -  April 7, 2024

Ivy Siu Hing Lo (née Yu), beloved wife of Kendrick, and mother of Karen, Stephanie and Jennifer, passed peacefully the night of April 7, 2024. She died after an extended illness, age 69. She was the heart of our family, keeping us connected even across separate households. She always put others before herself, and never wanted to trouble others.
Ivy moved to Canada from Hong Kong on her own, as a young woman. Her vivaciousness drew people towards her and she earned their trust through her determined and hardworking nature. She married Ken and they settled in Toronto to start their family.
She worked for many years in the retail coffee business, working as a manager for a long while, before eventually buying a franchise store of her own to run. She connected with many of the regular customers, often knowing their standard orders by heart. She grew close with many of the staff, always ready to share a laugh or listen to their stories.
After she retired from the coffee business, she picked up a few hobbies, including country line dancing, taking tai chi lessons with Ken, and trying new healthy recipes on her family. Shopping, travel and trying new foods were favourite past-times and topics of conversation.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SickKids Foundation, a charity that Ivy held dear to her heart.
