I think it was the summer of 1959 when Ivor joined the bond department at the Bank of Montreal, showing up in a nice grey suit of heavy serge material. Fresh off the boat. We worked together on the bond desk. He quickly showed a real aptitude for the work and settled in with the rest of us. A wonderful sense of humour was revealed and he went on to RA Daly and then Gordon Capital. I know he was proud of his family and he must have been a great source of fun and wisdom. A wonderful man. Truly a unique presence in my life.

He sounds like a lovely person, John. Our condolences to you and your family.
