In Loving Memory of Ivor Aston Thomas

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ivor Aston Thomas, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, on June 3, 2025. Born in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, to Stanford and Ethel Thomas, Ivor was the youngest of eight and carried a lifelong pride in his heritage.

A proud Munronian, Ivor excelled in athletics, making his mark in soccer, track, and cricket while also embracing bodybuilding at just 17 years old. His unwavering dedication to physical health and fitness remained a cornerstone of his life.

After moving to Montreal, he found his greatest treasure—his wife, Eileen Thomas, with whom he built a beautiful life. As a licensed prosthodontist, Ivor devoted himself to caring for his patients before establishing his own practice in a building he proudly owned. An astute investor, real estate owner, and landlord, he took great pride in providing housing for new immigrants, especially in Scarborough and Toronto’s "Little Jamaica."

Beyond his professional pursuits, Ivor was a musician at heart—self-taught on the guitar and deeply passionate about music and dancing. His love for celebrating life was infectious, as was his confidence, which never wavered.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Eileen, and his cherished children, Stacy, Garth, and Alicia. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Suga-Thai, Cuba, Praise, Nikola, Jericho, and Chloe, who will forever carry his spirit forward.

Ivor's life was a testament to ambition, resilience, and joy. His laughter, wisdom, and love will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
