In memory of

Irina Iulia Stan

May 6, 1977 -  October 29, 2017

Irina Stan - Fought bravely and finally found peace when she passed in her sleep on October 29th after a 3 year long battle with cancer. Survived by her husband Michael Rodrigues, father Vasile Stan, mother Liliana Stan, sister Diana Stan and brother Alexander Stan.

Irina was born in Bucharest, Romania in 1977 and emigrated to Canada in the summer of 1980. A kind, warm hearted wife, daughter and sister, Irina's love knew no limits especially when it came to food and her love of feeding people with food made with love. Irina's passion and interest in all cultures, countries and peoples was selfless making her a worldly person without having travelled the world. Irina's love of all animals was without boundary, from her early teens she loved and cared for two cats (mother and daughter) and in their death welcomed another two along with her bedside guardian Shadow, as a rescue dog from California. After 40 strong years, Irina leaves us with a fond memory of her love, compassion and kindness.

Visitation will be held November 1st at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre at 160 Beecroft Rd, North York from 6pm until 9pm. Following visitation will be the funeral service which will be held November 2nd with final visitation from 10am to 11am, funeral service will begin immediately after.

Irina, you were a warm and gentle person with an incredible smile. You approached this illness with strength and courage and you never lost your great, bright spirit. And you still had your marvelous smile. You will take that with you and smile down to us from heaven. We will miss you but we will always keep you in our hearts.
