Isha Evelyn Omrow
(July 11th, 1932 - February 4th, 2017)

Isha was born in Guyana on July 11th, 1932. She married Cyril (Pappy) Omrow and together parented a family of 7 children. Three daughters by the name of Sherene, Yasmin, and Shanaz, and four sons by the name of Allan, Kamal, Terry, and Sean. She is survived by 16 grandchildren named Shazar, Sadeek, Shifoli, Shifiera, Sasha, Sean, Shane, Seona, Christopher, Amanda, Felicia, Delon, Alana, Dana, Lashonda and Jamal, and 4 great grandchildren named Savannah, Summer, Suriya and Tiana. She had an immense love for both her sister Jean and her brother Harold.

Isha was known for her quick wit, loving nature, and willingness to help others. She was a strong believer in God and in the power of family. In Guyana she made a wonderful living being in the service of others as a talented seamstress and dedicated homemaker. She strived to provide guidance for her 7 children, 16 grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She will lovingly be remembered as the matriarch of a family that spawns Canada and the United States, staunch in her viewpoints, but always ready to embrace her fellow human being with open arms.

Isha is eternally grateful for the loving and unconditional assistance provided by her two daughters-in law Diana Omrow and Indra Omrow who remained steadfast in their attentive care when she required it the most. Her love for her sons-in-law Ronald, Rohit, and Shaheed, as well as her daughters-in-law Sally and Mala cannot be overstated.

Isha will never be forgotten. She will always remain the common thread that unites the Omrows. Her warmth, humour, and courageous character in her final days will serve as a reminder to all of us of the power of spirit. She remains, to all that had the pleasure of knowing her, timeless. Isha, Granny, Mom, you will never be forgotten. We love you now and forever.

Granny, you will always have a special place in my heart. The memories I have with you are countless and I will cherish them forever. I want to thank you for instilling in me morals, toughness and a faith in something bigger than ourselves. Love you always.

Granny, thank you for taking me in as your own grandchild. You are the only grandmother I've ever known and I will miss you. You are one of the toughest women I know and I am blessed you were in my life. I love you.

There are no words Granny. I said what I had to say by your bedside on Saturday morning. You are happy again. As hard as it is for us that are left behind to fathom, that is the truth. I'll never forget your advice to my kids telling them how important it is to love each other because we are all we have. I love you more than words can say. I'll never forget your charm, wit, and you're beautiful voice. I love you always Granny.
