In memory of

Isabel Nicoll Maclachlan

December 16, 1923 - April 4, 2026

Maclachlan, Isabel Nicoll (nee Fordyce) At the age of 102, Isabel passed away on April 4, 2026, of cancer. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, on December 16, 1923, Isabel came to Canada with her husband, Jack (John Ross Maclachlan), in 1950. Isabel worked in various industries as a secretary, ending her career at the age of 70 with Toronto Ambulance Services. Isabel easily made friends at work and at the various activities she loved – dancing of all kinds especially highland, country, ballroom, and line dancing; bowling; West Acres activities; lunches with friends every Friday at the Legion; and driving her cherished Mazda (until age 101).

Isabel will be greatly missed by her daughter, Lorna (Cal), son, Don (Lea Anne), her many great-grandchildren and especially by her grandchildren, Chelsea (Kevin), Cooper (Becca), Evan (Tiffany), Colin (Cassidy) and Bonnie, who have many great memories, especially of “Hogmanay with Granny”. Mum has been reunited with our beloved Dad, Jack, and her much-missed dogs: Lucy, Roxy and Julie.

We are grateful to the wonderful staff and volunteers at St. Joseph’s Health Centre for their care.

A private memorial will occur later in the year.
