I am deeply saddened at the illness and passing of my beloved Sister Irene. It has been a very difficult six years watching her struggle against a terrible and cruel illness. I remember her and always will as a vibrant and energetic person, phenomenal cook and active person of her community. We used to tease her that she spent more on the ingredients of the pies she made for the Church Fundraisers then they charged to sell them, but those pies sold first. I retired in 2017 and moved north to Washago which gave us two wonderful last summers to spend time together with local adventurers and a time to be friends as well as sisters. A final chapter to a life together. I miss here terribly. A final last word to acknowledge the efforts and strength of her husband Les and daughter Laura and to my sister Lorraine in their support and love shown to Irene through these last years.
