In memory of

Irena De Berner

November 11, 1954 -  December 12, 2019

Afterglow

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

To the surviving members of the De Berner family, it is with deep sorrow we learn of the passing of Irena De Berner. She was ever a kind, compassionate, original person who took the problems of others to heart. We feel it as a serious loss and we are sending fond wishes to all who loved her and will miss her. With love and compassion Lucylle and Alex

Gone but never forgotten. You were a kind and loving friend, Irena. You have a special place in my heart forever. Dance like you have never danced before with your Daddy in heaven.❤️❤️

Irena was a sweet soul, and my Army friends enjoyed some epic discussions with her (as did I). I'm so sad to hear we've lost such a bright light, but thank God we met and enjoyed a burger. Now I know where i'll be visiting Irena during the holidays. RIP buddy, i'm so glad we met.
