It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ioan Herea, who left us peacefully on September 15th, 2025 at the age of 90.
Born on July 2nd 1935 in Ploiesti, Romania, Ioan lived a life marked by hard work and dedication to his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Ioan will be remembered for his sense of humor, warmth, loyalty and sincerity. His legacy lives on in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate to know him.
He is survived by his wife Elvira Herea, children Marius Herea and Gabriela Missir, and grandchildren Irene Missir, Michael Missir and Elisabeth Missir. He was predeceased by Maria Herea and Petre Herea.
A funeral service will be held on September 18th, 2025 at 1:00pm at Elgin Mills Funeral Centre. Burial will follow at Elgin Mills Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of his remarkable life.
Though Ioan is no longer with us, his love, guidance, and spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
