Ilan was a wonderful human being with a huge heart. He performed many loving works (like peddling across Canada for SchoolBox - Helping schools in Nicaragua..)

I loved his great sense of humour and his love of life.

Ilan is someone I will remember forever....

Rest in peace... dear friend

My deepest condolences on Ilan's passing. Ilan was a wonderful, loving, good-natured, and sweet man, a truly Goot Neshama. It was my honour and privilege to know him.

My heart goes out to you Gay, to Rhona, and to the entire family. May the warmth of your memories comfort you and shield you from sorrow...

Ilan believed in me and gave me a chance to get introduced to the software industry. He hired me when he started the organization. I am ever so thankful and grateful to have met this man in my life. I have nothing but the utmost respect and regard for him. He is a decent man and one in a million. I had an opportunity to meet after several years in 2014 and he still believed in me and gave me so much advise.

He will be sorely missed. Such a great soul!! May his soul rest in peace....

Ilan an amazing great human being full of compation and love . His acceptance of his plight a lesson to be brave not only in living but in dying too.
A loss that can not be filled

I didn't know Ilan, but spent time with him during the wedding weekend for his sister, Rhona, to her wife, Jennifer. Ilan was a doting brother that weekend, good natured, fun, and proud as punch for his sister and her spouse. I've known Rhona for more than 25 years. In that time, it felt like I knew Ilan, too. Rhona treasured her relationship with her brother and spoke frequently about him. Ilan and his wife, Gay, were always a steady, loving presence in Rhona's life and, later, in the lives of Rhona's family...Jennifer, Sophie, and Jake. I know Ilan was deeply loved and will be deeply missed. My heart and prayers go out to Gay, Rhona, and to all of Ilan's family.
