Humphrey Arthur Carter

October 9, 1943 - August 4, 2017

Passed away after his journey with cancer in his 74th year on August 4, 2017. Humphrey was a loving and dedicated husband of 42 years to Clare (nee Adams). He was a devoted and loving father to Matthew (Stephanie) and Geoffrey (Colleen) Carter. Cherished Grandfather to Jessica, Hailey, Grayson and Emily. Fondly remembered by siblings Simon, Susan, Matthew & Helen. He will be sadly missed by family in England and friends alike in Canada. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of the Saint Elizabeth Health Care for helping to make his final days comfortable through their compassion and care. Celebration of life service will be held at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre in Toronto on Sunday August 20th, 1:00pm with a reception to follow after. Flowers can be sent to the Mount Pleasant Funeral Center or the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Humphrey was a superlative man to work with every day. He loved what he did and added to everyone's life who had the privilege of working with him.
As well he had an incredible sense of humor and irony.
I shall miss him as much as I enjoyed hid company every day.

Humphrey was one of the nicest people that I have ever had the privilege of knowing. He was such loving, kind and generous person, with a wonderful sense of British humour. He will be so sadly missed by his family and and his many, many friends. RIP my friend.xx
