Such a great man. I'd always see him with a cheerful and contagious smile. Every time he'd see me he would have a joke lined up ready to go. I understood when I first met him why he was an officer; quick witted, selfless and cared for everyone around him especially his loved ones. Take care Howie.
Dear Mike, Kerra, Dale and Family;
Raymond and I are so sad to hear of Howie’s passing. We have many fond memories of Howie from when the Speers lived across the street from the Smiths. Please let us know the details of the celebration of his life once decided.
Fond regards,
Sandra Smith
Howie and I were Patrol Sergeants on the same platoon at East Traffic. I had just been promoted in 1986 and came to East traffic.
Howie mentored me and taught me how to be good Supervisor.
Howie was such a Gentleman.
I am saddened by this news.
We have all lost a “Super Guy”!!
It was always fun to go to work with Howie.
Our mutual love of hockey made it easy to follow Mike’s career in the OHL.
Mike was kind enough to bring me game pucks from all the rinks he played in. And the ‘topper’ hat Mike got for 100 body checks that I still wear to referee in the OMHA and OWHA.
I have nothing but great memories of Howie and Diane and his children.
Rest In Peace Partner ❤️.
So sorry Kerra for your loss. From our family to yours, sending you our prayers and deepest condolences.
