On February 20, 2021, Allan Hok Kai Tam, loving husband and father passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 67.

He was born to parents Tam Hin Cheung and To Pui San, on May 4, 1953 in Guangzhou, China, where he, his two brothers, Sunny and Norman, and two sisters, Betty and Yuk Bing, moved to Hong Kong shortly after. Once settled in Hong Kong, the family expanded with four more sisters, Ling, Alice, May and Peggy.

He first met Winnie, his wife, in 1977, where he was a garment manufacturer, and she represented an exporting firm. After 10 years together, they finally decided to get married in 1987 and had two children, Erica and Doug.

After immigrating to Toronto in 1983, he supported the family business, Tai Cheong Supermarket. He then went on to start his career at Clearwater Seafood in 2000, where he achieved incredible success and gained many accolades. During his 20-year tenure, he was the happiest and most proud. Allan decided to retire at the end of March 2020 to focus on his health and was looking forward to retirement life.

Allan was known to be incredibly hardworking, had a great sense of humour, was truly devoted to his family, and was well loved and respected by family, friends and colleagues alike. Despite the pain, he came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.

He is survived by his wife and two children.

1977年，他第一次遇到了妻子周蕙姸(Winnie)，在那時候他是一家製衣廠負責人，而Winnie 是出口贸易公司的買手，因工作關係而遇上了,相識相知10年之後，他們終於決定在1987年結婚，並育有兩個孩子，譚詠嘉（Erica）和譚志德（Doug）。

在1983年移民到多倫多後，他投入了家族事業 大昌超級市場。然後，他於2000年在Clearwater 清水海產公司開始了自己的職業生涯，在那裡他取得了令人難以置信的成功，並贏得了許多讚譽。在他的20年任期內，他是最快樂，最自豪的。因健康問題Allan決定於2020年3月底退休，以專注於自己的健康，並期待著退休生活。

眾所周知，譚學佳（Allan）努力工作，具有極大的幽默感，忠於自己的家人，並受到家人，朋友和同事的愛戴和尊重。儘管因癌病帶來的痛楚及折磨，但他還是表現出了英勇的精神，並且堅強地堅持到最後。

他的妻子Winnie和兩個孩子Erica和Doug會永遠懷念著她致爱的丈夫及敬爱的父親。
