Hilda Joyce Cullen

August 21, 1932 - November 1, 2018

Hilda Joyce Cullen nee Sharkey passed away quietly in the early morning hours of November 1, 2018. Joy lived her life in Toronto as a child and in Scarborough with her own family. Some of her favourite times were spent at Balsam Lake.

Joy will be dearly missed by her husband Joe, sons John (Michele) and Glenn (Nancy), grandkids Johnny, Blair, Caitie (Cole) and Lucas (Jodi), and great grandsons Beckett and Mason.

Joy loved life, her family, travelled many places throughout her retirement, had a passion for knitting and loved sports, especially hockey and her Maple Leafs. Most of all she loved being the best Mom, Nanny, wife and friend anyone could ask for.

We know Joy will be watching from above and because of that we are not sad but grateful. Enjoy the view and continue to spread your Joy forever.

In memory of Joy and in lieu of flowers, a donation to Alzheimer Society of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.

I'm so very sorry to hear about the passing of Aunt Joy. Many memories of Christmas Eves at her house in Scarborough with Uncle Joe and cousins John and Glenn. Such a sweet, beautiful lady. Also fond memories of visiting the family cottage on Balsam Lake.Our sincerest condolences to John and Michelle and family and Glenn and Nancy and family.Thinking of you at this time.
