Herb was a true gentleman and great badminton player. Our relationship with Herb is only 5 years old but we thoroughly enjoyed his company and chatting about almost any topic. Herb was a great coach for new badminton players and I really appreciated his patience as I worked on my game. His passion for life, the club, and of course, sailing was evident is every interaction we had with him. We will really miss him at our weekly games. Rest in peace Herb!

Have known Herb through the RCYC Shark fleet for many years. Enjoyed the friendly rivalry and his great sense of humour.
May he rest in peace.

I will definitely miss Herb at RCYC sailing. He had a wonderful sense of humour and laugh and such a positive attitude. I appreciated his advice and encouragement when I joined the shark fleet that he had participated in for many years.
Rest in peace Herb and my condolences to his family.

May he rest in peace, he was a friend and confidant in so many ways to me when I was doing the Adventuresaway Sailing Regattas. He stayed a friend for almost 30 years.
