In memory of

Hendrika "Hennie" Kuipers

June 10, 1945 -  March 20, 2018

KUIPERS, Hendrika “Hennie” (nee de Jong)
Hennie passed away peacefully on the first day of spring, March 20, 2018 at Bridgepoint Health, Toronto surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 72. Hennie was born in Winschoten, the Netherlands, to Wine and Hendrik de Jong on June 10, 1945. She moved to Canada at the age of 18 and met John shortly after. They were married in 1968 and together raised their children Connie, Heather (David), and Ron (Ellen) in southern Ontario. She was an entrepreneur throughout her life, an active member in her church communities, taking on leadership roles in many volunteer organizations. She enjoyed working in her garden, singing in choirs, and caring for her dogs. Her joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren: Naomi, Avril, Micah, Logan, Dryden, Tomas, and Eva. Hennie and John travelled extensively throughout North America by RV for the last 2 years, and her cancer journey began in November in Mobile, Alabama. We are heartbroken that she was taken so quickly and so young. Hennie is predeceased by her brothers, Cees (Janny), Herman (d.Stiny), and Jaap (Mattie) de Jong. Survived by siblings Truus (d.John) Boot, Sense (Corrie) de Jong.
