HELMUT BARTA March 27, 1934 - July 5, 2018. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Helmut Barta. His wife Mitz predeceases him. Helmut is survived by his 3 sons, Rick, Robert (Micheline) and Ray (Barbara). Grandfather of Lisa, Deklan, Haydon, Biya, Kevin and Vanessa. Great Grandfather to Ruby, Scarlett and Oscar. Helmut was born in Greinsfurth, Austria. He loved dancing, hiking and travelling the world. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, especially his cherished friend Betty, and will live on forever through the many precious memories. The family wishes to express their thanks to the kind hearts of the doctors, nurses and staff at both Sunnybrook Hospital CRCU and Providence Healthcare. The family invites friends to share time with them at Mount Pleasant Cemetery Visitation Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto (east gate entrance), at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 22, 2018, followed by service and reception. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
