Helen Mary Bennington(Nee Downs) April 14, 1924 - October 16, 2017

After a long and happy life Helen Bennington passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, October 16, 2017. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Wilfred Bennington. Helen will be missed by her beloved son Paul and his wife Sharon Bennington, her grandsons Phillip (Katherine Stork) and Scott and her great grandson Parker.

Helen was predeceased by her brothers John Downs and his wife Dorothy, Bob Downs, Don Downs and his wife Delrene and sisters Kay Taylor and her husband Bill and Ruth Jeffery and her husband Herb. Predeceased by her sister-in-law Winnifred Gibbon and her husband Bud and her nephew Michael Gibbon. Helen will be missed by her sister-in-law Brenda Downs and nephews Gary Jeffery, Larry Gibbon, Tom Downs and David Downs and nieces Pat Boxwell, Sandy Watts, Linda Lienweber, Donna Taylor, Jayne Downs, and Diane Downs.

As per Helen’s wishes a private family service will be held at Thornton Cemetery and Funeral Centre. In memory of Helen donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Society would be appreciated by the family.
